Most days, the table simply feels like it belongs in the open dining area, which is exactly what I wanted. I am glad I did not try to fill the spot with something busier. It made the dining area feel like a real gathering place. I was more interested in how the room would feel after a few weeks than in the first five minutes. I am glad we went with it.

After a few ordinary days, the dining table stopped feeling new and simply started feeling right in the open dining area. My partner was unsure at first, but likes the room much more now. I would happily choose it again for the same space.
