Sunday lunches tend to stretch into the afternoon; when friends come over without much planning, I notice that this chandelier has a stronger sense of purpose. It has already been there for weeknight dinners, long conversations, and plenty of ordinary evenings. The effect is subtle in daily life, which is part of why I like it.

Casual dinners keep the room from ever feeling too formal; after a late dinner, I notice that this chandelier feels easier to enjoy at the end of the day. The room still feels comfortable on takeout nights and polished enough when people come over. It works with the rest of the room instead of competing with it. I needed a few days to get used to the room with it there, but that hesitation passed quickly.

Saturday dinners usually end later than we expect; one evening after a long day, our main room feels more settled now with this chandelier in place. The longer it is here, the less I think of it as a new purchase.
