Busy cleanup after dinner, the change is not dramatic; the main room simply looks more resolved with this pendant light there. A few weeks of normal use made me appreciate the room more than I did on day one. The space makes more sense as a whole now, which makes the update feel more convincing.

Late a family visit, we wanted the entry area to work on ordinary days as well as when people come over, and this pendant light fits that goal.

Sunday weeknight dinner, we saved a place for this pendant light while finishing the part of the kitchen we use every day, and the room finally feels settled. On weekends I notice it most when everyone stays in the room a little longer, and the room never feels too formal to use.
