The room feels more settled with this wall sconce in place.

I decided on this wall sconce to make a quiet corner feel intentional, and the whole setup makes more sense now. It became part of the room without anyone in the house having to think about it. It feels just as natural during a rushed morning as it does when the house is quiet at night. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.

Our bedroom made the most sense once we had family staying for the weekend; the room worked exactly the way I hoped it would. I notice the improvement most when I am just moving through the room normally. I like it most when the room is being lived in rather than perfectly styled. I am glad we chose something that fits the way we actually live.
