Rippling waves of textured glass float along the front of this rich Retro Walnut cabinet that mixes materials and shapes with ease. The cabinet has a strong rectangular presence that is softened by rounded chamfers on the back corners. The front four doors are hand-leafed in Oracle, enhancing the shimmer of the cabinet. The doors are attached with metal hardware in Champagne Gold. As a buffet, living room storage piece or media cabinet, the right side of the unit has two adjustable shelves; the left side has open storage and one center drawer with under-mount guides. Equipped with holes to manage wires, the interior is finished in Almond Milk.

A few weeks in, this piece still feels like the right decision for our living area. I was aiming for something that felt at home rather than showy, and the space finally feels finished. I can change smaller things around this piece without feeling like the whole plan for our living area has to change. I would choose the same direction again for this space.

I wanted the house to feel lived in rather than staged, and the piece works well with that idea. The room feels more grown-up now, but it still feels like a place we actually live in. I was aiming for something that would work with what we already owned, and the result feels natural instead of staged. The room feels settled now, and I would not change the choice.

Our guests do not necessarily know what changed, but they keep saying our home feels better since the piece went in. It helped the space feel complete without becoming overly styled. The end result in our home feels like our home, only more finished.

Within our main room, my sister asked about the piece the first time she saw the room. I was aiming for a space that felt finished without looking formal, and this ended up being the right direction. I am pleased with the decision and with how our main room came together.
