Around my birthday, we added this pendant light, and it was one of the details that made the place feel like ours. The longer it is here, the less it feels like a new purchase, which makes the update feel more convincing. I notice it most after everyone settles in and the room stops feeling like a project, which is when I know the choice was practical as well as visual. The room came together around settling into our new home, which made the change feel meaningful without needing a big story around it.

Around finally getting the last boxes unpacked, we added this pendant light, and it made the room feel complete at the right moment. On weekends I notice it most when everyone stays in the room a little longer, and that is what makes it feel like part of the house.
